Ebert Huaman Anaerobic Gesha

This anaerobic, double fermentation Gesha from Finca Artemira, cultivated at an altitude of 1,900 MASL, displays a refined flavour profile reminiscent of jasmine, peach and rose tea, underpinned by a robust, tannic depth.

Ebert Huaman Villegas, a prominent figure in Peru's coffee landscape, expertly manages Finca Artemira, where this Gesha is produced. The farm, named after Ebert’s mother, spans over four decades of family ownership and has been revitalised under Ebert’s leadership to focus on quality and sustainable practices. Their signature coffee undergoes an anaerobic, double fermentation process, which begins with cherries soaked in water tanks, followed by a sealed 24-hour fermentation, and another 36-hour fermentation post-pulping. This controlled process enhances the coffee’s distinct floral and fruity notes, making it highly complex yet distinctly Peruvian. Ebert’s commitment to regenerative agriculture and high-quality varietal selection showcases this coffee as a perfect blend of innovation and tradition.
