Current - Bella Vista Rosado
Cultivated at 1,800 MASL, this washed Rosado offers a syrupy texture with citric notes and unique aromatics.
Finca Bella Vista, positioned at 1,800 meters above sea level in Acevedo, Huila, is overseen by Ernesto Naranjo, a 39-year-old first-generation coffee grower. The farm spans 3 hectares, with two-thirds dedicated to cultivating the Rosado variety, totalling approximately 3,500 trees. Ernesto began his coffee cultivation journey in 2020, influenced by his wife, Leidy Bravo, who inherited the land. His commitment to refining coffee quality has led to significant improvements in a short time, highlighted by a victory at the 4th edition of the Huila Mágico competition. The processing method here is straightforward yet meticulous: ripe cherries are handpicked and undergo a two-day fermentation in open tanks, followed by de-pulping and an additional two-day submerged fermentation. The beans are then washed and dried on raised beds for 15-17 days, weather permitting.
